DHI Telecom was founded in 2007 as a military Internet Service Provider — one of the first companies to bring fiber-optic connectivity to U.S. troops deployed in Iraq. That origin isn't branding. It's the foundation everything was built on.
In July 2017, DHI launched the Sapphire CloudSIM hotspot specifically for U.S. military personnel and DoD contractors who needed reliable, unthrottled, carrier-free connectivity anywhere in the world. By May 2018, Sapphire devices were available in AAFES Exchange military stores — the official retail network of the U.S. Armed Forces.
The civilian world took notice. In January 2019, SapphireGo made its public debut at the New York Times Travel Show — bringing the same military-grade reliability to every kind of global traveler.
